Division Chief
Fire Marshal

Todd Blomdahl

After receiving an honorable discharge, three letters of commendation and an expeditionary medal from the U.S. Navy, Todd became a volunteer firefighter with the Murrell’s Inlet/Garden City Fire Department.  In 1995, Todd became a career member of the Midway Fire Rescue Department and attained the rank of Master Firefighter/EMT.  He then moved into Midway’s Division of Fire and Life Safety as a Fire Inspector and was subsequently promoted to the rank of Fire Marshal.  As the Fire Marshal, Todd has created and/or continued many of the division’s code enforcement and public education programs.  He continues to be a servant to his community through a pro-active approach to fire safety, and hands-on involvement in fireground operations.  Todd enjoys youth coaching, sports participation, continued education, and the intimate involvement in the lives of his wife and two sons.
