Battalion Chief / Paramedic Jeff Pifer
Jeff started his fire service career at Fairfax County Fire Rescue in 1993. He came to Midway Fire Rescue in 1997. He lives in Hagley with is wife Ronda and daughter Gracie who was born in March 2006. Spare time is spent on the ocean either diving or fishing, though with the new addition there is little spare time.

Captain Josh Carney
Originally from North Haven CT Josh came to MFR in 2000 after spending 4 yrs in the US Air Force as a firefighter at Andrews AFB, MD. He enjoys spending time with his wife Lillian and daughter Shayla.

Lieutenant / Paramedic Chris Runyon
Chris arrived at Midway in October 2003 from the heart of Appalachia, teh stomping grounds of the infamous Hatfields and McCoys. MFP Runyon and his family now resdie in Pawley's Island, SC, where they have adapted to the " beach life". His contributions to the MFR include all the hilarious " Seth Stories" which keeps the shift in stiches ( just don't ask about the gun cabinet ). MFP Runyon serves a C shifts IST Instructor.

Lieutenant Pete Copland
Pete Copeland from Fowlerville Michigan and started his career at Midway Fire Rescue on 9/2000. Pete's fumancho and knee-high black socks are his trademark. Member of the Midway Code Brown softball team, USAR team and Hosers hockey team.

Mark Mercer
Mark Mercer joined Midway Fire Rescue in 1999. He started his firefighting career in 1988 in Maryland were he worked his way up through the ranks. Mark has served as the Hazardous Materials Coordinator, Special Operations Coordinator and a short time as the Training Officer. He is currently a Master Firefighter and Marine Division Coordinator also serves on the department and Georgetown County Emergency Services OIP and E&E committee. Mark has received Employee of the month twice for his role with the department ISO inspection and his help with WMD Grants, Hurricane Floyd, Firefighter of the Year, Special Project for his role with setting up Hazardous Materials for the department and five-time winner of the Training of Excellence. Mark is also a lifeguard and has been seen serving as a Dive Master on one of the local dive boats

Giovanni is originally from Revere, Massachusetts but started his fire career in Hampstead, New Hampshire. He was an on-call firefighter for 10 years. In September 2006, Giovanni joined the ranks of Midway Fire Rescue.

Firefighter 1/ Paramedic Adam Knowles
Adam Knowles started MFR Sept 2007. Came from Troy, MI where he was a volunteer Firefighter since May of 1998, he also worked in a Level I trauma center as a ER Technician. Adam lives in Pawleys Island with his wife Leanne. On his off time he enjoys being out on the water at the beach, or just hanging out with friends at our local hot spots.

Ryan is originally from Algonak,MI where he has served the past 8 years as a paid-on-call firefighter and 4 years serving tthe City of Highland Park, MI as a firefighter. In July of 2008 Ryan joined the ranks at Midway. In his spare time he enjoys the Detriot Tigers and Red Wings as well as Ice Hockey, drums and listening to rock music.
