This week, all shifts will be completing the quarterly agility tests for all fire personnel. Each quarter of the year, involves a physical agility with two months being the MFR Firefighter Combat Challenge and the other two quarters being a 1.5 mile run, sit-ups and push ups. The physical agility tests are challenging and gauge where the personnel is at physically.
Each personnel is required to work out on each shift that they work being at least 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weights. This allows each firefighter to be in as best shape as possible for our demanding careers as firefighters.
