2nd Alarm Fire in Debordieu Colony

On Saturday Afternoon, Midway Fire Rescue was dispatched to 228 Ballyhoo Street for a reported structure fire on the 2nd Floor of a single family dwelling. A smoke column could be seen by responding apparatus and striking a full first alarm right away. Engine 831 arrived on scene confirming the report and started stretching lines into the structure. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in the first 20 minutes of arrival and extensive overhaul was completed for several hours after marking control. A total of 14 occupants were accounted for in the home when the fire broke out, with no injuries. One firefighter was treated for a heat related injury.

Fire Investigator was on-scene investigating and the investigation is on going at this time.
