Today, A-shift was out searching for reported stranded kayakers near the south end of Pawleys Island. The crews had a hard time locating the kayakers from the ground so command advised tower 814 to set up and fly overhead to search. The tower crew located the stranded kayakers and had water rescue units deploy to the location for pick up. No injuries were reported and the occupants were brought back to shore safety by MFR personnel.
