Wildland Firefighting Training for MFR Crews

The past two weeks, all shifts (A, B and C) from Battalion Chiefs to Probationary Firefighters were in the classroom and in the practical setting taking the Wildland Fire Training for Structural Firefighters (1181) Course provided by South Carolina Fire Academy. The goal of this course is to provide the structural firefighter with the basic knowledge and understanding of hazrds associated with wildland firefighting, the co-operative efforts and to provide assistance to the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
