Friday April 3rd, 2015, Midway Fire Rescue’s Hazardous Materials Team along with Myrtle Beach Fire Department, Horry County Fire Rescue has formed the South Carolina Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team (SC-HM2 Emergency Response Task Force, Pee Dee). The team will service the regional requests for hazardous material responses, if requested. All agencies will keep their own respective Hazardous Materials Response Teams but with the formation of this team, crews will work closer together than every before giving the crews more training and service to the communities we live in.

The crews reviewed equipment, WMD and Midway Fire Rescue’s own MFF Mark Mercer reviewed with the team Hazardous Material sampling at the Myrtle Beach Fire Department training academy.
