Ocean Highway Collision

This morning, Midway Fire Rescue was dispatched to Ocean Highway and Salt Marsh Circle for an accident with possible injuries. Engine 811, Medic 815, Rescue 816, and Battalion Chief 82 responded immediately. Engine 811 and Medic 815 arrived on location with a two vehicle accident with major damage to both vehicles. Engine 811 officer established Ocean Highway command until arrival of Battalion 82. Moments after arriving on scene, command requested an additional medic unit bringing in Medic 825. As crews started to assess the scene, multiple patients totaling three were found with command requesting a third medic unit to the scene resulting in Medic 845 responding. All the patients were quickly packaged and transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
