In November 2010, the technical resue team was deployed to the steam plant off of penn royal road in Georgetown County. Upon the rescue teams arrival, the team was notied that a man in a tractor had hit a soft spot in the pile and the tractor was stuck into the pile facing in a vertical position with the man entraped. The hole was surveyed as about 50 feet deep. The Georgetown City Fire Department responded with their 100' foot ladder truck with it barely reaching the top of the pile. The team was able to set up a small amount of rigging with a change in direction running on the pile. The team then lowered a harness to the vitchim and instructed the pateint to put it on. Once the patient had the hardness secured, the team slowly raised the patient to safety.
