Midway Fire Rescue Responds to 2 alarm Structure fire

On October 12, 2024 at 11:45 PM Midway and Georgetown City FD were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Spreading Oak Drive in the Litchfield Plantation. Fire was found to be spreading into the structure with heavy smoke filling the dwelling. A 2nd alarm was requested that brought in assistance from Murrells Inlet/Garden City Fire Rescue and Georgetown County Fire/EMS. Two firefighters were injured and the structure received heavy damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
