MFR Unit Responded to Yacht Accident in Murrells Inlet

On Tuesday Evening, Murrells Inlet/Garden City Fire along with Horry County and Midway Fire Rescue units responded to a reported 46 foot yacht that had crashed on the jetties and was taking on water with multiple people reported still on the yacht with unknown injuries. Midway Fire Rescue was dispatched to assist with a Medic Unit and arrived on location to stand-by incase needed to transport patients. MIGC firefighters and the U.S. Coast Guard made contact with the yacht and advised no injuries. The boaters were brought back to shore and the MFR Medic Unit cleared the incident with no services needed on scene.
