Club Circle Structure Fire
This morning at 0630, Midway Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to 1716 Club Circle (River Club) for a reported structure fire. Engine 811 arriving minutes later reported smoke and fire showing from the roof area of a residential structure and all occupants out of the building. Second due Engine 821 took the hydrant and laid a 5” supply line to the structure feeding Engine 811 while Medic 835 made the hydrant connections. Engine 811 officer completed a walk around of the structure reporting a chimney fire with extension into the attic. As other Midway units arrived, the crews stretched multiple lines into the structure and starting knocking down fire in the attic area and performing salvage operations on the floor below. The fire was located running the chimney box area, ridge board, and the attic space which was knocked down within minutes. Once the bulk of the fire was extinguished the units started overhaul of the structure locating multiple hot spots in various parts of the home. HCFR Tower 20 was brought to the scene to assist in the overhaul operations. After overhaul was completed, command started to scale the incident back by releasing units. The crews were on scene for a little over 2 hours.
