MFR Assists Huntington Beach State Park With Beach Event

Today, Midway Fire Rescue assisted a rotary club which was working jointly with a local club (Myrtle Beach Sunrise Club). The club brought 450-500 underprivileged middle school children who have never seen the ocean down to Huntington Beach State Park for the day on the sand and in the water. The group also had two Carolina Panthers on hand to help with the event. The Midway Fire Rescue crews assisted the Huntington Beach State Park staff in keeping a watchful eye on the visitors in the water and on the beach. The crews found the experience to be incrediblely rewarding and enjoyed the day with the children and the Carolina Panthers.

The event had beautiful weather and the children were having a blast with the Midway Fire Rescue crews.
