Annual Water Rescue Training Begins
This past weekend, all shifts at Midway Fire Rescue held its annual ocean rescue training that will encompass the next few weeks of continued training. For the first weekend, Midway Fire Rescue had the pleasure of hosting members of Ocean City Maryland’s Beach Patrol. The crews started the training with a brief power point of various knowledge checks and equipment needs for various rescues. The following hours continued at Litchfield Beach, where members started with various swimming evolutions, scenarios, patient packaging along with rescue board and jet ski training.
This training is just part one of multiple weeks of continued training to prefect skills in the water with various scenarios and equipment.
