9/11 Memorial Updated

The last couple of weeks, Midway Fire Rescue personnel updated the current 9/11 memorial that sits in front of Headquarters at Station 81. The crews came up with a plan that included landscaping and painting the "Thin Red Line" that honors fallen firefighters. Also, the crew decided to remove some shrubbery and mulch to replace it with river rock for less maintenance.

While most of the work was done without any expense the crews needed river rock. The crews went out to local landscaping companies to do some pricing and Harbortown Landscaping after hearing what the crews decided to donate the river rock for the project.

We, Midway Fire Rescue, would like to thank such a great local company for not only donating the rock but also delivering the rock to Station 81.
