Around 3pm, as heavy rains came though the Pawleys Island Area. Midway Fire Rescue units were dispatched to Ocean Highway (Rt. 17) near the Hog Heven restaurant for an accident with injuries. The crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and to start extrication of the patients by removing the doors and a partial roof removal along with pateint care. Once the doors and roof removal was completed, the patients were extricated and taken to the trauma center (Grand Strand).
