The public views firefighters as heroes and almost indestructible running medical calls, accidents and fires but firefighters do break down and do get hurt. This is exactly what happened to Firefighter Jim Duley earlier this year at Midway Fire Rescue. Firefighter Duley was doing a simple task during our quarterly physical fitness exam. The Georgetown Hospital System “Healthwaves in Motion” made an impact on Firefighter Duley’s life after suffering a devastating injury.
