MFR Assists with the Ride the Tide Event

Today, Miday Fire Rescue assists with the Ride the Tide Event starting at the Litchfield Plantation and continues down the Waccamaw River with participants floating about 4 miles. The crews provided safety and assisted as needed for the event participants.

A little about the Ride the Tide Event:

This year proceeds will be given to the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Join together with family, friends, and your community in a four mile float down the Waccamaw River. The "ride" will begin at the Litchfield Plantation Marina and will end at Hagley Landing on Hagley Drive in Pawleys Island, Sc. This event is open to any non-motorized floatation device. Bring your kayaks, inner-tubes, canoes, or get creative and build your own raft! All participants will be required to wear a life jacket for the event. You may join us after the float at Pawleys Island Raw Bar for live music, food, drinks, basket raffle, and more!
