Honors Presentation for Carney Family

Yesterday, Midway Fire Rescue held a joint Honors Presentation for fallen Battalion Chief Joshua Carney that included the Carney Family. The presentation started with the Midway Fire Rescue Honor Guard and included resolution by Senator Stephen Goldfinch and Representative Lee Hewitt. Midway Fire Rescue's chief officers also spoke and included a retirement of Battalion Chiefs Carney's number 646. Battalion Chief Carney was a devoted husband, father and brother in the fire service community. We miss you and never forget.

Earlier in the week, in a private gathering Midway Fire Rescue firefighters also presented Mrs. Carney and their daughter a plaque that matches one that is at Headquarters (Station 81).
